Bruxelles le 21 mai 2020,
Demain, vendredi, matin devrait finalement avoir lieu le procès annoncé le 27 mars puis le 8 mai dernier (voir notre
communiqué du 27 mars).
10 personnes en exil, dont 3 enfermées préventivement en prison depuis des mois, malgré le coronavirus, seront jugées pour les motifs désormais célèbres et courants, les mêmes que les hébergeurs, hébergeuses et migrants des autres procès avant eux à savoir « trafic d’être humains » et « participation a une organisation criminelle ».
Pour avoir imaginé que l’Angleterre serait une terre plus accueillante qu’une Belgique sans travail et sans droits (outre la langue et les liens personnels).
Pour avoir trouver des moyens de résistance et de subsistance, socialement et économiquement, à la situation catastrophique dans laquelle l’Etat maintient les migrants et les migrantes depuis des années.
Pour avoir pensé, qu’au delà des obstacles physiques, juridiques, administratifs, la violence à tous niveaux et la répression policière, ils parviendraient à une vie meilleure.
Ils encourant des peines très lourdes.
Nous demandons leur liberté, pour qu’ils puissent comme tou.te.s avoir une chance de penser un futur plus désirable.
Nous serons présent.e.s à 8H30 devant le Tribunal néerlandophone de Bruxelles (place Polaert) en solidarité avec les inculpés et tou.te.s celles et ceux qui se battent contre les frontières, les discriminations, le racisme et la misère.

DECONFINING JUSTICE AND THE RIGHTS OF ALL
Tomorrow morning should finally take place the trial announced on March 27th and again on May 8th (see our press release of March 27th).
10 people in exile, including 3 who have been in prison for months, despite the coronavirus, will be judged on the now famous and common grounds, the same as the hosts and migrants of the other trials before them, namely « trafficking in human beings » and « participation in a criminal organization ».
For having imagined that England would be a more welcoming land than Belgium without work and rights (apart from language and personal ties).
For having found means of resistance and subsistence, socially and economically, to the catastrophic situation in which the state has kept migrants for years.
For thinking that, beyond the physical, legal, administrative obstacles, violence at all levels and police repression, they would achieve a better life.
They face very heavy penalties. We ask for their freedom, so that they, like everyone else, may have a chance to think about a more desirable future.
We will be present at 8.30 a.m. in front of the Dutch-speaking Court of Brussels (place Polaert) in solidarity with the accused and all those who fight against borders, discrimination, racism and poverty.
